(KGNS) - Early enforcement results for the City of Laredo's three-strikes bridge toll policy show a drop in commercial U-turns alongside an increase in collected fines.

The Port of Entry Advisory Committee reviewed early data from the enforcement effort.

Under the policy, commercial trucks with empty toll accounts are no longer turned around at bridge booths; instead, drivers are allowed to cross into Mexico while receiving fines.
