LBJ State Park and Historic Site staff invites the public to attend a free event Saturday evening, Oct. 17, to view the moon and planets through telescopes.

Before the viewing, park interpreter Jessica Garmon will give a presentation about the moon at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to the park headquarters building.

The Hill Country Astronomers will help answer questions and offer views of the moon through their telescopes.
