LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Texas Tech University's Department of Animal & Food Sciences is looking for producers who already plan to graze failed cotton fields to take part in a research study.
The study examines how beef cows use failed cotton, including what they select, what they leave behind, and how the quality of available forage changes as grazing continues.
Researchers aim to collect data to help producers make decisions about how many grazing days a field may provide and the quality of that forage over time.
