HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas - A vehicle fire spread to a nearby home on Saturday afternoon in Harker Heights, causing moderate damage to the residence and displacing one person, officials said.

What we know: The Harker Heights Fire Department was called about 2:38 p.m. to the 1100 block of Indian Trail, where crews found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames with fire extending to the home.

The first engine crew began attacking the fire while a second unit searched the residence, officials said.
