Motorists traveling on State Highway 16 should expect delays beginning Monday, Aug. 24, as road work gets underway.

According to a notice from the Texas Department of Transportation, contract base repair operations are scheduled on SH 16 between Spur 162 and FM 140.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. Monday and continue through 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28. Road work will begin on SH 16 South and proceed north.
