HEWITT, Texas (KWTX) - A local chef is cooking up a new way to bring people together over family recipes, history and heritage.

Natasha Jarmon, known to her community as Chef Heir and owner of The Heir's Table on Hewitt Drive, held the first meeting of her new Heirs Cookbook Club on Saturday, Oct. 17, inviting local food lovers to bring their favorite heritage cookbooks and swap stories over shared dishes."Have I got news for you? I have a new cookbook club called the Heirs Cookbook Club," Jarmon said.

"So, we are all heirs from our families, our mothers, grandmothers and all the people in our families. We've decided - and it's been my passion project - to do a cookbook club."The free club is designed for adults with no experience or pre-reading required.
