Ben Beadle medaled for Center Point in the varsity boys race at the Ingram Tom Moore Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, covering the 5K course in a time of 19:57 for sixth place.

Alex Amaya, a footballer like Beadle, made his season debut at the meet, finishing 18th among 39 runners with a time of 21:36.

Kent Arias, Mateo Gutierrez and Chris Diaz also raced for the Pirates, but technical issues with timing at the finish negated any times or places for the trio.
