WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Construction crews will close all lanes on east and westbound New Road, as well as the under-bridge turnaround, starting Thursday night as part of the ongoing Interstate 35 reconstruction project, transportation officials said.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announced the closure will begin Thursday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. and run through Friday, Aug. 21, at 7 a.m. Crews are continuing work on the new northbound I-35 bridge over New Road as part of the My35 Waco South Construction Project.

While New Road will be closed, all I-35 mainlanes and frontage roads will remain open in both directions.
