The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced the recall of more than 1,600 pounds of ready-to-eat pickled goat and chicken products made by an Austin, Texas, company, as they were produced without the benefit of inspection.

Indus Foods, doing business as Gangothri Foods, produced the affected products between Jan. 28, 2025, and May 6, 2026.

Big picture view: The approximately 1,626 pounds of recalled products were sold in 8-ounce glass jars and include: The products do not bear a USDA mark of inspection, according to FSIS.
