Facebook Marketplace Post Leads to Recovery of Eight Stolen Tailgates, Two Arrests

Harris County deputies recovered eight stolen tailgates and arrested two suspects after identifying merchandise on Facebook Marketplace.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - On Friday, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to a call for a stolen tailgate on 1960 Road West in northwest Harris County.

The victim told deputies he recognized the tailgate in a Facebook Marketplace post and arranged to meet the seller.

Deputies met the seller, identified as Carl Thomas, at the designated location.
