MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - The Texas Department of Transportation reports that Ector and Midland counties have the highest number of car accident fatalities in the Odessa District, prompting state troopers to urge drivers to use extra caution on area roadways.

Interstate 20 remains one of the most crash-prone highways in West Texas, and ongoing construction throughout the corridor is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

With colder months arriving and daylight-saving time now in effect, the Department of Public Safety says motorists need to be mindful of changing road conditions.
