Story, photo courtesy of Steve Nash - Special Contributor to BrownwoodNews.com EARLY - With representatives of the Heart of Texas Rotary Club present, Early Mayor Bob Mangrum signed a proclamation declaring Oct. 24 as World Polio Day - honoring Rotarians' effort to eradicate polio - at Tuesday night's city council meeting.

Club president Otis Felton said the club will join other Rotarians in the World's Largest Polio Walk Saturday, Oct. 24, to promote polio awareness.

Locally, the walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Early Town Center Boardwalk.
