A USDA official reports that the spread of New World screwworm in the Southern U.S., including Texas, is slowing down.

The northern spread of New World Screwworm (NWS) in the Southern U.S. is slowing, according to the Associate Administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Admiral Michael B. Schmoyer.
