The Kerrville Police Department promoted three officers and swore in a new hire Monday, bringing back the rank of captain under new Police Chief Jerel Haley.

James Machetta and Jonathan Cline were promoted to captain and Jason Beard to lieutenant during a ceremony attended by family and friends.

The department also swore in Dalton Bandy, a lateral officer joining with prior law enforcement experience.
