DAYTON, Texas (KTRK) -- ABC13 is learning new details about a hit-and-run accident involving a Dayton Independent School District bus that left a teenager injured.

According to police, the teen who was hit was not a student passenger, but a pedestrian walking in the area when he was struck.

Dayton PD said officers responded to the highway intersection near Stilson Road after someone reported a crash around 6:30 a.m. on Friday.
