LAREDO, Tex.

(KGNS) - City and county leaders signed two agreements on Aug. 7 at the Water Museum along the Rio Grande, securing up to 90 million gallons of water per day for Laredo's water supply.

Mayor Dr. Victor Trevino said the deals mark a turning point for a city that has relied almost entirely on the Rio Grande as its primary water source."For many years, our community has lived with a clock reminding us that our water supply was running out," Trevino said.
