Schreiner University's men's soccer team fell behind early and couldn't complete a second-half rally, losing 3-2 to Hardin-Simmons on Saturday at Mountaineer Soccer Field in a match interrupted by a heavy downpour during the first half.

The loss snaps Schreiner's three-game winning streak.

Hardin-Simmons jumped ahead in the 18th minute on a goal from Joseph Friederich and added a second from Landon Newman in the 31st to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
