41 Arrests, One Message: Burleson County Sheriff and Local Nonprofit Urge Parents to Talk to Their Kids This Back-to-School Season

The Burleson County Sheriff's Office announces 41 arrests related to sex crimes since July 2025 and urges parents to discuss online safety with their children as the school year begins.

BURLESON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - As families across the Brazos Valley settle into new back-to-school routines, the Burleson County Sheriff's Office is releasing a sobering reminder: predators don't take a summer break.

Sheriff Bill Rios released a video Thursday revealing his office has made 41 arrests connected to sex crimes since July 2025 - nearly one per week.

Most of those arrests involved online solicitation of minors.
