DENISON, Texas (KXII) - Cheyenne Henderson said his family's history with Denison Fire Rescue was a key part of his connection to the department."My uncles were also firefighters here. So to me, it was always important for me when I connected with Denison Fire Rescue to connect and serve someone or a community that I had a past with," Henderson said.
Henderson has served 18 years with Denison Fire, starting as a paramedic.
He is now filling the role of Chief Kenneth Jacks, who announced his retirement in August.
