U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than 1,000 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in a laundry detergent shipment at the Roma International Bridge on August 11.

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found more than 1,000 pounds of methamphetamine hidden within a shipment of laundry detergent at the Roma International Bridge.

The seizure happened Aug. 11 when an officer referred a 2012 tractor-trailer hauling laundry detergent for an inspection.

A scan of the trailer revealed anomalies, CBP [...].
