Tivy cross country runners performed admirably for the third straight week, and got a preview of more 27-4A competition when the Lady Antlers and Antlers placed third in the varsity team standings at Comal Canyon's Cougar Invitational, held Thursday at Starcke Park in Seguin.

Lady Antlers Ivery Evans (12:34), Victoria Hernandez (13:27), and Lauren Holland (13:30) were second, seventh, and ninth medalists out of 81 racers tackling two miles.

It was Holland's first race of the season since she is also a contributing member of Tivy's volleyball team and competed in tournament matches each week until recently.
