HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Your weekend drive will include interstate lane closures across the Houston area, but two major ramp closures near downtown Houston will slow your drive through and across the city.

Around Downtown Houston The SH 288 ramp is closed northbound to US-59 southbound from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

As a detour, drivers can continue on I-45 southbound, take exit 44C, and turn left at Cullen, following the signs to U.S. 59.
