Uvalde County will officially recognize Oct. 30 as "Weatherization Day" in honor of the Community Council of South Central Texas' Weatherization Assistance Program, which helps low-income households make cost-effective, energy-efficient improvements.

Interim county judge Jerry Bates presented CCSCT representatives Roy Lopez and Orlando Sanchez with a proclamation Oct. 15 at the county courthouse recognizing the observance.
