Hale Center teen killed in crash on I-27

A 16-year-old from Hale Center died in a pickup truck collision with a trailer on Interstate 27 in Hale County.

HALE COUNTY, Texas (KCBD) - A 16-year-old from Hale Center died Wednesday after his pickup truck collided with a trailer on Interstate 27, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened at 2:09 p.m. at mile marker 44 in Hale County south of Plainview.

DPS says a 2023 Dodge Ram pickup towing a trailer was traveling northbound on I-27 in the left lane.
