WILLIS, Texas (KTRK) -- Willis ISD approved a nearly $1,000,000 purchase Friday morning for a weapons detection system following three serious safety incidents.

Throughout August and September, two separate students reportedly brought a gun onto the campus, and two other students allegedly made a bomb threat.

Each student was taken into custody, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
