LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Several Democratic candidates on the November ballot held their South Plains swing tour on Saturday, meeting with voters in Lubbock's Depot District as part of a three-day tour aimed at energizing Democrats across the region.
The group included Austin state Rep. Gina Hinojosa, who is running for governor against incumbent Greg Abbott; Austin state Rep. Vikki Goodwin, who is running for lieutenant governor; agriculture commission candidate Clayton Tucker; and congressional candidate Kyle Rable.
Hinojosa pitches 'American Dream agenda'Hinojosa is challenging Abbott, who won Lubbock County in his last election with 69% of the vote."I'm running on the American Dream agenda, an agenda that is short and simple," Hinojosa said.
