BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Every day, Aggieland Humane Society cares for furry friends in the hope of finding them a forever home.

Now, they are seeking the public's help."It really kind of hit us all at once," said AHS Executive Director Katrina Ross.

Ross says recently the group has brought in multiple dogs that have been Heartworm positive, now growing to 1/3 of the adult dogs that they have."This is, in recent times, one of the highest seasons of having Heartworm-positive dogs that we've seen. You know, we get pets in every single day. And so in our most recent, you know, wave of dogs that was coming in, we just saw a really high instance of Heartworm-positive tests coming through," said Ross.
