The Kerr County Office of Emergency Management is joining communities nationwide in recognizing National CERT Week, Sept. 20-26, and celebrating 40 years of community preparedness.

The office is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, program.

The 2026 National CERT Week theme, "Carrying the Torch 40 Years & Beyond," honors the dedication and service of generations of CERT volunteers who have prepared their communities for four decades.
