HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A pedestrian was killed in a crash on the Gulf Freeway on Saturday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

HPD said officers received a call about the crash at about 9:30 p.m. Houston TranStar reported that the crash happened in the northbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway near El Dorado Boulevard.

According to Houston TranStar, all of the northbound lanes, including both shoulders, were shut down due to the deadly crash.
