MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - The Environmental Protection Agency announced this week that Midland Mayor Lori Blong will be the only city or state official from Texas named to participate on the Local Government Advisory Committee.
The committee is comprised of state and local officials who will help advance the agency's core mission of protecting human health and the environment.
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has described the effort as part of what he calls the "Great American Comeback.""I'm honored to represent Midland on the EPA's Local Government Advisory Committee, and I'm grateful to Administrator Lee Zeldin for the opportunity to serve," Blong said.
