Strong winds that moved through San Antonio left damage beyond downed power lines, including an uprooted tree that caused a gas leak while nearby power lines were down.

CPS Energy crews responded to the gas leak and electrical hazards as residents across the city dealt with fallen trees, roof damage and lingering outages.

In the Monte Vista neighborhood, homeowner Michael Danforth said he was at home watching the much-needed rain when the wind picked up, and two trees fell in front of his house.
