GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - KBTX is seeking transparency after Grimes County officials moved to block the release of public records surrounding allegations against a county commissioner.

The dispute stems from an Aug. 14 commissioners' court meeting.

During public comment, a county employee claimed Commissioner Phillip Cox warned staff they would face "consequences" if they spoke out against a proposed pay raise for elected officials.
