SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - A 71-year-old man with nine previous driving while intoxicated convictions was arrested Sunday evening after police say he caused a wrong-way crash on westbound US-82.

Randy Morrison, 71, faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated (third or more) and two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Sherman dispatchers were notified of a wrong-way crash in the 19000 block of westbound US-82 around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9. Responding officers discovered Morrison had been driving the wrong way on the highway when he struck another vehicle, injuring its two occupants.
