BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- The Department of Public Safety said one of its troopers was involved in a pursuit on Monday morning after the driver drove on the wrong side of the road in Brazoria County.

According to DPS, the trooper began a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving the wrong way along McHard Road at about 11:30 a.m. While the vehicle stopped for the trooper, officials said, the driver refused to exit, prompting the trooper to pull out his weapon.

The driver then took off, again in the wrong direction on McHard Road, authorities said.
