WACO, Texas (KWTX) - James Talarico, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Texas, traveled to Waco Sunday to speak with volunteers before they headed out to canvass area neighborhoods ahead of early voting, which begins next week.

Dozens of volunteers gathered to knock on doors in support of Talarico's campaign.

A mother and daughter who volunteer for the campaign said they got involved because they are tired of negative politics."He's speaking positively about the independent people he wants to represent, the republican people he wants to represent, and the democratic people he wants to represent, and I miss that overall, in politics," Wendy and Lucille Pethtel said.
