FORT HOOD, Texas (KWTX) - Soldiers, their families and civilians with access to the installation will get the chance to tackle a Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course set up in front of III Corps headquarters starting Saturday.

Elite course built by original show designerThe Rick Herrema Foundation, named after Sergeant First Class Richard Herrema, who died in 2006 while deployed to Iraq, spent the last couple weeks building the course.

It was designed by Darren Jeffery, who created the original American Ninja Warrior course for the television show."This is RHF Ninja Warrior competition. This is the elite course. We're going to have about a 90% failure rate in the course. We have iconic obstacles like the Dip Slider and the Salmon Ladders in the background behind me," Jeffery, course creator and founding board member of RHF, said.
