(KGNS) - Texas A&M International University held an investiture ceremony to welcome its seventh president, Christopher Maynard.

The Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall was filled with students, staff and Maynard's friends and family for the event.

Maynard has been on campus for one year, but the ceremony formally welcomed him into the university.
