3 JOHNSON CITY, Texas - Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) is accepting applications for community grants through Nov. 3, the power company announced on Tuesday.

Nonprofits in and near PEC's service area may apply for grants of up to $5,000 for technology, energy-efficiency and capital improvement projects.

The grants are funded by PEC members who participate in the co-op's Power of Change Program.
