CHINA SPRING, Texas (KWTX) - The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed a 38-year-old female died after a head-on collision in China Spring Saturday afternoon.

Around 1:50 p.m. DPS troopers responded to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Farm to Market 2490, north of China Spring.

According to DPS, preliminary investigation indicates that a GMC Yukon was traveling southbound on FM 2490 when, "for an unknown reason", it crossed into the northbound lane and struck a Nissan Pathfinder.
