TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - It's Child Passenger Safety Week, and one East Texas mom is working to make sure car seats are installed correctly.

Last year in Texas, 583 children were seriously hurt in crashes and 69 died, according to TxDOT.

The agency says a car seat check could help avoid life-altering injuries or save a life.
