LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - The Longview City Council recently voted to approve the building of a fueling station for City of Longview fleet vehicles.

The fueling station is planned for the southeast corner of the parking lot at the Public Works Yard.

County leadership determined that the ability to buy fuel wholesale would allow the county to get a more competitive price on its fuel."After we pay off our initial investment, which is scheduled to be about three and a half years given the current price of fuel and gasoline, each additional year we're projecting to save about $300,000 in savings just in fuel," City of Longview engineer Zack Shaner said.
