LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - What started two decades ago as a modest pumpkin collection has grown into an illuminated 15-foot wall of carved characters in one Longview neighborhood.

Longview resident Tom May constructed a multi-tiered display holding roughly 335 jack-o'-lanterns for Halloween, using recycled shipping pallets and salvaged 3/4-inch plywood to build the freestanding shelving structure."My wife started collecting pumpkins and everything, and it just grew and grew till we're here," May said.

May began erecting the pallet framework over the weekend, testing its structural integrity on Sunday before mounting the pumpkins on Monday.
