A man was hospitalized after being randomly struck by gunfire outside a southwest Houston restaurant late Saturday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. near Beechnut Street and Corporate Drive.

Investigators said a man and his nephew became intoxicated inside the restaurant, prompting security and the owner to ask them to leave.
