The Heritage Society of New Braunfels unveiled a new marker at Heritage Village indicating its designation as an official stop along the El Camino Real trail on Sept. 21.

Heritage Village is tucked away on Church Hill Drive in New Braunfels and is home to the Museum of Texas Handmade Furniture, several historic structures that have been moved onto the property and the annual Folk Fest - a living history and music festival.

The El Camino Real de los Tejas is a national historic trail, according to the National Parks Service, which spans from Mexico across the southern and central regions of Texas and into Louisiana.
