St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will host "Honoring Humanity: An Evening of Poetry" featuring writer Becky Crouch Patterson and poet Naomi Shihab Nye at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at St. Barnabas Parish Hall, 601 W. Creek St. Patterson and Nye will share from their writings and answer questions from the audience.

The event is free and open to the public.
