ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - COVID-19 cases are on the rise across the country, and Texas is among the highest growing states, according to the CDC.

As of last week, CDC data shows Ector County being one of the many areas seeing rising cases.

Brandy Garcia, director of the Ector County Health Department, said this trend is common, especially heading into the fall and winter seasons."It's going to happen every single year. Covid is here and it's not leaving, just like we have the common flu, it's going to be around," Garcia said.
