The New Braunfels City Council and Comal County Commissioners Court have set their final budgets and tax rates for the 2027 fiscal year.

At the regular commissioners court meeting on Sept. 17, the county held its final public hearing on the proposed 2027 budget before officially adopting it along with the tax rate.

Commissioners set the tax rate at $0. 305015 per $100 - the same as last year's - for a budget totalling $214 million, with approximately $20 million of that coming from reserve funds for one-time expenditures.
