Credit Union of Texas gives away turkeys and hams in Kilgore for second year in a row

KILGORE, Texas (KLTV) - Credit Union of Texas is giving away 300 turkeys and 300 hams in Kilgore for the second year of its holiday food giveaway.

People waiting in line said the giveaway helps ease the burden of rising prices, especially for those living on fixed incomes.

Helping with holiday food costsKarmyn Russell, who is disabled and lives on a fixed income, drove from Arp to get a turkey for her holiday table."It's difficult with the rising in the prices of gas and groceries," Russell said."I feel so blessed that they're able to do this for the community," she said.
