A man was critically injured after a shooting in downtown San Antonio, according to the police department.

Officers were dispatched to the shooting around 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Hemisfair Plaza Way, near Civic Park at Hemisfair.

The San Antonio Police Department said the shooter was attempting to rob the 21-year-old man.
