WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Neighborhoods across Central Texas will lock their doors, turn on porch lights and gather outside Tuesday for National Night Out, an annual evening aimed at strengthening relationships between residents and first responders.

Events on Tuesday, Oct. 6, will stretch from Waco to Temple to Killeen to Nolanville, with most beginning in the late afternoon and running into the evening.

All are free and open to the public.
